When SCOTTIE BALLANTYNE's (Dilana Robichaux) life choices cause her singing career to go downhill, she moves away to get her life back together. But a phone call from her brother and former manager, MORGAN, interupts Scottie's peaceful new life. Their aunt, MARIE (rock legend Patty Smyth), has recently passed away and left them the deed to her bar, Kokonuts, formerly the home to the hottest music in the area. Marie and her boyfriend "SALT" (James Brolin), were committed to creating a rockin' legacy, but tragically, all was lost in a deadly fire that killed Marie and closed down Kokonuts for good.
Initially, Scottie and Morgan are horrified at the "dump" they are saddled with. Kokonuts may have been a popular nightclub back in its day, but that day is long past. Not only do they have to literally rebuild the bar from the outside in, but they soon discover that Kokonuts also has a bitter rival, JUDE STEVENS (Carlos Bernard). Joude owns the bar next door and has designs on taking Kokonuts for himself.
Morgan and Scottie enlist the help of Salt, and together they work to restore Kokonuts to its former glory. Meanwhile, Jude Slyly befriends Scottie, pretending to help her re-open the club even as he and his conniving girlfriend DESDEMONA (Tessie Santiago) seek to sabotage them at every turn. On the right of the grand re-opening, Jude orchestrates a clash of musical styles but that causes a riot and trashes the place.
Scottie's struggle finally makes her realize that it's time for her to return to the stage and rock the house, just as her Aunt had done years before. Angel Camouflaged is empowering film with attitude that appeals to anyone reaching for a dream.
